3 Points To Changing Anything In Your Life
Posted by Darrell Milam on
What's up, Stonedvet Army?
The last few years have shown one thing for certain; the times are changing.
The one sure thing about the world we live in is that everything changes.
"Change is the law of life. And those who look only to the past or present are certain to miss the future." – John F. Kennedy.
I recently read an interesting article from Mark Cenedella, CEO of www.ladders.com, who states, "Permanently remote jobs are now 18% of the US professional workforce, up from 15% in Q3, 13% in Q2, and 3% before the pandemic." The 22 year veteran of the scene continues, "I've previously predicted that 25% of all professional jobs will be remote by the end of 2022. It now looks like it may happen sooner than that. The shift to working remotely is large, permanent, and picking up speed."
We've been dealing with the uncertainty, fear, and chaos of this new world for almost two years now…
2022 can only be different if you decide to MAKE it different.
“If you don’t like something, change it. If you can’t change it, change your attitude.” – Maya Angelou
Be honest with yourself; with new variants, weak markets, and more division than ever, it's not likely 2022 is going to magically be any better than the last two years.
In fact, it could be worse... a lot worse.
Are you ready for the third year of this uncertainty, fear, anger, and stagnation?
Or, are you ready to leave all that behind?
In 2022, we can only be sure that we must stop depending on the outside world to give us the life we want.
- Things are going to go wrong.
- They're going to shift.
- They're going to change.
And it is our responsibility to be ready, not only to face those changes and challenges but turn them into opportunities.
Whether that means taking back control of your health…
Finally starting that business, you've been thinking about…
Taking your existing business to another level…
Mastering a skill you haven't previously made time for…
Re-creating that spark you once had with your partner…
Or a million other possibilities…
2022 can be different from the last two years if YOU commit to gaining the necessary tools and capabilities.
Let's face it, as the new year starts off, we're all thinking about making progress this time of year: whether it be in our health, wealth, or relationships.
So, where do you want to make progress in your life?
What areas of your life do you need to change?
Tony Robbins describes a breakthrough as, "A moment in time where suddenly the impossible becomes possible. You see your circumstances in a new way, and everything changes."
Often, people think that breakthroughs magically happen. But, the truth is, breakthroughs can be created – and there's a formula for doing it.
There are only three steps to a breakthrough - and they are simple:
By taking control of these three points and following with massive action, you will create the quality of life you've always wanted.
So, what are you waiting for?
Take control of these three points.
Take a look at your resolutions, goals, and dreams for 2022.
Think about them in terms of these three steps:
- What is the right strategy for achieving your goal?
- What limiting story do you need to let go of, and how can you tell a new story that will free you?
- What mental state do you need to create the energy and determination to follow through?
But here's the KEY: These steps are listed in REVERSE order of importance.
Most people look at a problem and try to start with a strategy. But if you have the right plan and the wrong mental state, you're not going to break through.
Your mental state is always an essential part of creating and changing anything in your life – mental state ALWAYS comes first.
"Change is automatic, and progress is not. Progress is the result of conscious thought, decision, and action." - Tony Robbins
This year, don't just hope and wish for "change" to happen – instead, use these three steps to take action and create the change – the progress – that you want for your life.
“Be the change you wish to see in the world.” – Mahatma Gandhi
